The Schenectady Museum and Suits- Bueche Planetarium opened their permanent Wind and Solar Power Exhibit on April 4, 2009. The exhibit aims to teach students and visitors the importance of renewable energy in ending the world’s current dependence on fossil fuels through interactive activities. Visitors are able to play the role of engineer as they design wind turbines and perform comparative tests to see how their turbine stacked up against others. Solar power exploration encourages guests to manipulate conditions and create various degrees of light to learn how solar panels perform in different environments.
AWS Truewind is a proud sponsor of this exhibit and the initiative the Schenectady Museum and Suits-Bueche Planetarium takes in teaching students the importance science, and expanding their minds to new technologies.
