AWS Truepower to be featured in PBS’ “America Revealed”
September 21, 2011

AWS Truepower, LLC, will be featured in PBS’ “AMERICA REVEALED,” a new miniseries that uses aerial footage, high-definition video and real-time satellite data to document “what makes America work.” The air date will be announced by PBS.

A TV crew from award-winning Lion Television, along with show host Yul Kwon (winner of 2006 Survivor, Cook Islands), recently visited AWS Truepower’s corporate headquarters to film part of the energy-themed episode. AWS Truepower will be featured in “The American Dynamo” (the working title of one of a four part series), which will explore how America propels itself through energy, taking a look at the creation of electricity through water, wind and nuclear power; and the intricacies of energy distribution.

“We were honored to be selected to share our scientific expertise on wind energy. Our role is to help illustrate the quantity and variability of wind patterns and their impact on the power grid,” stated Michael Brower, Chief Technical Officer at AWS Truepower.

“AWS Truepower has been vital in helping us create unique wind simulations that reveal the wind’s complicated paths across the country. Their team’s expertise will enlighten audiences and help illuminate this part of the energy system for us,” said Jack Youngelson, Director, Lion TV.
