The Outstanding Industry Leader Award is awarded as part of ACE NY’s Sustainable Energy Leadership Awards, which recognize exemplary leadership and outstanding work done on behalf of clean energy and sustainability in New York State.

The company will be presented with the Trade Partner Awardard at a dinner on Nov. 3 at Wolferts Roost Country Club in Albany, NY from the Tech Valley Global Business Network ( an effort organized by a partnership of Albany-area chambers of commerce and the Center for Economic Growth).
- President & CEO Bruce Bailey chairs 2012 Windpower Conference
President & CEO Bruce Bailey was selected by the American Wind Energy Association to be the Technical Chair for the 2012 Windpower Conference, to be convened next June in Atlanta. AWEA’s Windpower conference is the world’s largest annual gathering of wind industry players.
- 2011 Export Achievement Award
Congressman Paul Tonko and US Department of Commerce recognized AWS Truepower, LLC with the 2011 Export Achievement Award for international growth and job creation.
- AWS Truepower authors Wind Resource Assessment Handbook
AWS Truepower has taken a leadership role in establishing standards for the industry for over a decade. As the National Renewable Energy Laboratory’s Technical Manager for the Utility Wind Resource Assessment Program, AWS Truepower authored the publication Wind Resource Assessment Handbook: How to Conduct a Successful Wind Monitoring Program, an authority on wind measurement practices. This text was updated on behalf of the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority in 2010. An international version of the work will be published by Wiley Publishers in 2011-2012.
- AWS Truepower wins Wind Energy Program Outstanding Technology Acceptance Award
In 2007, AWS Truepower received the Wind Energy Program Outstanding Technology Acceptance Award from the US Department of Energy. Recognized for the substantial contribution made by AWS Truepower for advanced wind mapping technology to accelerate the market penetration of wind technology into the US electric generation portfolio.
